More Toronto blooms under glass
As promised in my last post titled "Toronto gardeners can get an early glimpse of spring", here are some more blooms seen at the Allan Gardens Conservatory Spring Flower Show today:
This combination has "Easter" all over it with the pastel blue and pinks and the bright yellow of the daffodils |
Keeping with the spring pastel colour theme with these pale pink and cornflower blue cineria below |
I just get enough of these Camellia japonica blooms! This one reminds me of a fractal image in the center, coming at you forever |
The flecks and crepe-like texture of this camellia flower is truly amazing |
Bright yellow crocus and daffodils and pale blue muscari tied together with the silver dusty miller |
Bubblegum pink coloured cineria vs... |
The bright white petals of this hellebore make a vivid contrast |
My anthurium "heart" goes out to you! Happy Valentine's Day! |
(Update: you can see all my Allan Gardens Conservatory 2013 Spring Flower Show pictures in one spot at my Flickr set.)
Thanks for the taste of Spring! The TBG's "Get a Jump on Spring'" is on the 23rd of this month, which is also a nice way of speeding towards the warmer weather.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up, Barry, about the TBG function. I don't think we'll get an early spring like we did last year in March but we're getting closer!
